Mystery
Not If I Save You First by Ally Carter:
I really enjoyed this book and it is probably one of the first books that I have read that focuses on the love relationship of two characters. The main thing I liked was their attempts to escape Stefen and all of the other Russians. I thought that the wolf was a little underwhelming at the end because of how he dies in like one chapter but he did have a really cool back story. I thought Maddie and Logan were great characters; they were both funny at times and they were both super clever. Stefen was a great antihero and his motives were really surprising.

One of Us is Next by Karen M. McManus:
"One of Us is Next" is the sequel to "One of Us is Lying" by Karen M. McManus. This sequel has several familiar characters, and new ones as well. The book is another mystery with dark secrets and a suspicious death. "One of Us is Next" is a fun and dramatic story, but it just doesn't measure up to "One of Us is Lying." Although enjoyable, it wasn't as much of an entertaining and suspenseful story as the first book. There also wasn't a great climax, and the book ended without much resolution. It seemed very rushed, which took away from the enjoyment. However, it is still a good read if "One of Us is Lying" was a favorite.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson:
"A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" is written by Holly Jackson, and is a suspensful murder mystery, as a Pippa Fitz-Amobi dives deep into the mystery of an Andie Bell's murder, and a Sal Singh's suicide. This book was such a fun thing to read. There was never anything boring, and there were many twists. It is a great 'guilty pleasure' book to curl up with and read for hours straight. The only critique for this book is that some of the ways Pip came across information and evidence seemed unrealistic. However, this doesn't make the book unenjoyable, if you can look past some of the dramatizations.

The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes:
Jennifer Lynn Barnes' "The Inheritance Games" is a twisting tale of family drama and high stakes. Avery Grambs was a high school junior who was living in her car. Out of the blue, she is contacted and brought to Texas, being told that she was a part of a billionaire's will. She had no idea what she was getting into. Turns out, she was left billionaire Tobias Hawthorne's (almost) entire estate. A man who she did not know. And with that, a mysterious game that forces her to pair with the four Hawthorne grandsons. Will she discover why she was left the Hawthorne fortune? Will she solve the game, and fine love at the same time? Read to find out. I really enjoyed this book and am even reading the rest of the series. The book featured mystery and romance, which I really enjoyed. I give this book 4/4 grandsons.
I read The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes this January. The Inheritance Games is a fictional story following the life of Avery Grambs, a teenage girl who went from having nothing to inheriting everything, but didn't know why. This book follows the mystery of the will and the relationships she builds with the rest of the Hawthorne family, the disinherited children and grandchildren of Tobias Hawthorne, a billionaire with a love for riddles, puzzles, and games, who had died and left Avery his fortune. There are more books in the series as the story continues past the "first puzzle". I personally thought it was a little predictable, but it still did a good job maintaining interest.

Fadeaway by E.B. Vickers
Summary: Jake is the star athlete ate his school. He is the master at fadeaways, a basketball shot where you jump backwards. But he has a big problem, drugs. After an accident, and prescriptions for painkillers, he is hooked on them, and desperate to end the addiction. At least until he goes missing, that is. Now his friends and the police are on the search for Jake, hoping to find him before anything worse happens.
Review: It was a really good book. The storyline was phenomenal, and well structured. It provided an interesting basketball story, mixed with a mystery novel. I would recommend it to more people.
